Brief description: Welcome to VOXPOP 'Singing the Soundtrack of your Life' says Alison Eade musical director

VOXPOP is a new take on 'the choir' format singing the songs you have grown up with. Whether you choose to sing the melody or have a go at the easy, stylish harmonies that Alison writes, you will sing songs from the Carpenters to ABBA, Queen to the Drifters or Dean Martin, Bobby Darren & Frankie. Yes, this is 'POP' for adults singing 'swing', 'pop', 'rock' & 'ballads' from the last fifty years or so, from the 50's through to the new 00's. Some songs will have easy moves allowing you to move with the grove, so make VOXPOP a part of you life and discover the thrill of singing.

Discover through VOXPOP that given the right opportunity and encouragement to sing those contemporary songs that you know, you to can do this thing and that in doing so with other VOXPOPPERS, it is thrilling, satisfying, makes you fell better and gives you confidence.

With VOXPOP you buy your own fully licensed lyric sheets and these are accompanied by practise CD's which contain all the tunes and harmonies, so learning at home, in the car or anywhere you have access to recorded music becomes an ideal practise opportunity.

So what do you do next? 3 easy steps to become a VOXPOPPER

Step 1 - come along to a rehearsal and try a taster session for £6 and have fun VOXPOPPING. Take a registration form home with you at the end of the session

Step 2 - return the following week with the completed form and register with the Crofton Community Centre for £11 (£9 cons) and get your registration to VOXPOP pay £6 for the VOXPOP session and buy the first songbook and CD for a special introductory price of £5 this includes 11 songs such as 'I want to break free', 'The Rose', 'Flashdance', 'Fields of gold' and 'Under the boardwalk'.

Step 3 - enjoy being a VOXPOPPER and being part of the team

Local VOXPOP's will perform at local 'gigs' raising money for their chosen charities and bigger venues will host all VOXPOP choirs, who work to the same ethos, song selection and programme of development, so that when VOXPOPPERS come together they can sing together.
